The earliest obvious reference to
the geography surrounding Noah's Ark landing on Mount Ararat is by
the early church historian Philostorgius in his twelve-books in two
volumes ca. 425 A.D.
The 2007 translation of
Philostorgius was edited by Philip R. Amidon, originally from
Joseph Bidez, except for the extracts from the Syriac chronicles.
